Sourdough Bread Bowl Warm, crusty, dough-licious! | 1-2 Servings

We always say there’s nothing more comforting than soup, which is true, but soup inside a bowl made out of crusty sourdough bread? That’s what we call peak comfort! All you have to do is hollow out this loaf of bread and bake it so the bowl holds its shape after you add the hot soup. Pro tip: Save the bread you scoop out of the bowl for dipping into the soup as you eat it for extra yum-factor. *Nutrition values are representative of 1 serving. There are about 1.5 servings per bread bowl.*

Instructions

3 steps
  1. 1

Adjust rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. 2

Cut a 2-4-inch circle into the top of the loaf and remove. Scoop out the inside of the bread to create a bowl (use soft bread to dip in soup or save for another use).

  3. 3

Brush inside of bread bowl with 1 TBSP olive oil or melted butter; bake on middle rack until lightly toasted and warmed through, 7-8 minutes.
